There are a lot of options when it comes to your yard makeover. Sometimes the condition of the yard or the new vision require the complete removal of the existing plants, gravel, and hardscape but more commonly, some elements can be retained and incorporated into the new design. The goal is to improve the space while reducing maintenance, water, pesticides, and fertilizers.

The important thing to keep in mind is that this is your creation and we will help you bring it to life every step of the way. Long before a shovel ever touches the dirt, we'll take the time to understand your vision, your design sense, and how you use your yard. It's OK if you don't know exactly what you want. Our process is built on a foundation of creative collaboration that will help us get there together.

It Doesn't Have to be Complicated
Our Process

Everything begins with listening to you and getting to know your yard. To craft it the right way, we need to ask questions, walk the yard, capture all the viewing angles (i.e. sidewalk, front door, looking out, etc.) and begin the process of understanding what you like, need, and want. You can show us houses on the internet or in your neighborhood that you like too.

Once we arrive at a good starting point, we begin pulling together sample themes. This part of the project is fun and helps us synthesize everything we've learned as we develop your personal, one-of-a-kind landscape design.

How it all Comes Together

On the front end of the project, all the work is in the creative, emotional, and planning parts of the brain. Once we've got our roadmap, it's time to turn all that good thinking into reality. This typically takes 3 days and they look something like this:

Day 1 - Removal and cart away of anything that won't be part of your yard's future state.

Day 2 - Contouring, mounding, and trenching as required & installation of the plants.

Day 3 - Hardscape features like gravel, boulders, dry stream features, etc. all get installed. Everyone thinks the plants make the yard but creative hardscape is the difference maker between a "nice" yard and the one that everybody stops to look at.

Hand Over - Once the project is completed, we'll meet with you and provide an Owner's Manual to your new landscape with details about your plants and how to keep them happy. We'll also schedule a complimentary 6 month check up to make sure things are settling in well. Any plants that haven't done well are replaced at no cost to you during the check up!
